Frequently asked questions
How do I book a tattoo?
First, please reach out with your tattoo idea by completing the tattoo inquiry form! I’ll respond as soon as I can. If the project is complex, I may offer a free in-person consultation to discuss the details in person.
Once we’re on the same page, I’ll give you a quote for the project: this will include both a time estimate, and an estimated cost. After this point, you’re welcome to book your appointment online! You’ll follow a link I provide, choose a date and time that works for you, and put down your non-refundable deposit. The deposit is $50 per hour, and is applied towards your final price.
How much does a tattoo cost?
It depends! How large is your project? How complex? Once you’ve sent in your tattoo inquiry form and told me about your project, I’ll be able to give you a quote. I book larger projects with an hourly rate, but for very small tattoos, my shop Everybody Tattoo’s minimum price is around $100.
My shop accepts cash, card, and touchless options like Apple Pay.
What do you prefer to tattoo?
I love tattooing: animals and nature, pet portraits, geometry (including dotwork geometry!), lettering, my original flash, little stuff (semicolons, infinity signs, handwriting etc), and anything stylized, cool, dope, etc.
I will not tattoo: racist/hateful imagery, AI-generated designs, and photorealism.
Where is your shop?
Everybody Tattoo
6011 Tylersville Rd, Unit 2, Mason, OH 45040
We’re on the plaza’s lower level! If you don’t see us, look for a tanning salon: to the right of the tanning salon, there’s a road that goes down.
Do you take walk-ins?
Sometimes! I may have availability on Fridays and Saturdays, but of course, appointments come first. To check on my availability, you can contact my shop, Everybody Tattoo.
Tell me about tattoo aftercare!
In most cases, we’ll cover your fresh tattoo with a clear sticky bandage. (If you have any allergies to medical adhesives, such as Band-Aids, we’ll choose another bandage option.) This bandage will stick to unbroken skin, but not to an open wound. The bandage is waterproof, so showering is fine. Swimming, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise are not! It’s an open wound! Be cool!
We recommend keeping the bandage on for 24-48hrs. As your tattoo heals, it may discharge some blood plasma and ink into the bandage. This is normal!
If the bandage is cut, punctured, or leaking, remove the bandage immediately. If the unbroken skin around the tattoo becomes red or irritated, feel free to remove the bandage. While irritation is rare, it can happen, particularly in high-friction areas. If there are no issues and you’re enjoying keeping your tattoo protected, you’re welcome to keep the bandage on beyond the first 48 hours.
When you’re ready to remove the bandage, do it in a warm shower under running water. Peel up from one corner: go slowly and carefully.
Now that the bandage is removed, keep your tattoo clean, dry, and lightly moisturized. You’ll receive a tattoo aftercare ointment called Redemption (a small tub is free with every tattoo), but unscented Aquaphor also works well. Use a thin layer of ointment (think a chapstick amount) whenever the tattoo starts feeling dry. It’s better to under-moisturize than over-moisturize.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or the shop!
You live too far away :( Can I get one of your designs tattooed by someone else?
I prefer to tattoo my own designs whenever possible. I may accept design commissions on a case-by-case basis, which could include permission to get my design tattooed elsewhere. Email me: let’s talk about it.
If you’re asking “is it cool for me to take a jpg of your work to my local shop without your permission” - lmao. Absolutely not. If you do this, the tattoo will be cursed and all your hair will fall out. I warned you.
What’s your lateness / rescheduling / cancellation / policy?
I’m happy to cancel or reschedule penalty-free, until 24hrs before the appointment. Within 24hrs of your scheduled appointment, your deposit will not be refunded or go towards the cost of the tattoo. If you’re 30min late with no notice, same deal.
I get that life happens, and in case of an emergency, I’ll work with you. But please, be courteous.
Can I bring a buddy to my tattoo appointment?
For sure! My booth can accommodate a maximum of two guests. No kids under ten, no animals that aren’t service animals, and nobody drunk/high.
How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
Do: get a good rest the night before, drink lots of water, and eat a good meal! We’re trying to keep your blood sugar up and your vibe right. Feel free to bring whatever items will help you feel comfortable - headphones, a blanket, snacks etc. Wear loose, comfortable clothes that allow access to the tattoo area. Remember to bring your ID!
Don’t: drink the night before, you’ll bleed more! Don’t worry about shaving the area, we’ll do that day-of. Don’t wear light-colored or super-precious clothing. (We’re working with ink here. I’ll be careful, but y’know.) Most importantly, don’t stress! We got this!
